Trinity Tri-hards 2009 season Heartbreaking Loss Ends Tri-Hards Championship DreamA battered, bruised and a bit rusty Trinity team went down to defeat at the hands of St. Simons on Monday, August 24th loosing 18-16 and ending their hopes of a B division title. “Some of our players benefited by the 2 week rest however our shortstop, Joe was suffering from a painful foot injury and there where a number of fielding errors which were probably a result of the long lay-off” cited coach Bang. “It was a close game, however we came up short at the end but not to worry as we all plan on returning next year to give it another shot”. Following the game, the team celebrated the end of the season at Monahan’s. The Tri-Hards would like to thank all of our loyal fans for coming out periodically and cheering us on (Vesta, Monique, Ruth, Phyllis, Ross and Linda and all the others who attended). May 4th – Loss against St. James Catholic Church #2 May 11th – Win 21-13 against Chartwell Baptist Church May 25th _ Win 30-18 against Compass Point June 1st – Loss against St. James Catholic Church #1 June 8th – Loss against Clearview #1 June 15th – Loss against Central Baptist June 22nd – Loss against St. Michaels Catholic Church June 29th – Tie due to rain cancellation of game July 6th – Loss against Hopedale Presbyterian July 13th – Win 31-9 against St. Hilda’s July 20th – Win 21-20 against River Oak’s Comm. Church July 27th – Win against St. Simon’s by default August 10th – Loss against Chartwell (Final Regular Season Game) Regular Season Record: 5 wins, 1 Tie, 7 Losses – 11 points August 24th – Semi-Final Loss to St. Simon’s Season games at 7:00P.M., Playoff games at 6:30P.M.
